Representing clients in real estate, land use matters, and land conservation transactions in Oregon.

Conservation

Protecting signature landscapes and wildlife habitat. Preserving farm and forest lands or historic places. Providing people access to nature. Working in the conservation profession since 2001, I know the benefits of land and water conservation transactions as well as the legal mechanisms to make them a reality. Because the buying and selling of property rights for conservation purposes involves a multitude of real estate, land use, and ecological issues, it pays to hire an attorney experienced in these matters.

Advocacy and Counsel

Conservation also means protecting and advocating for your financial and legal interests. I can structure property sales for buyers or sellers including preparation of sales agreements, deeds, and other legal documentation required for closing; negotiate purchase prices and analyze appraisal reports on property sales; prepare easements for access or other uses; resolve  boundary line discrepancies or disputes; and provide legal advice and counsel about the intricacies of these kinds of transactions. I can also represent clients before government entities in various land use matters, particularly those that intersect with conservation or preservation.

Dedication

Dedication to the land—and to my clients. I strive to provide results-oriented legal services with a commitment to fairness in structuring fees. I have a genuine desire to help people solve their problems and seek creative solutions that are balanced by a healthy dose of pragmatism. Clear communication and a dedication to authentic relationships is the basis for my work. As a fifth-generation Oregonian with a family connection to both sides of the mountains, I know the diverse landscapes and communities across this state. Let this knowledge and experience work for you.
